Job Description

The Operating Room Technician is a vital member of the surgical team, operating under the general supervision of the OR Manager/Surgery Center Manager. The role focuses mainly on scrubbing for surgical cases in a cardiovascular/open heart setting while collaborating with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesiologists, certified nurse anesthetists, and ancillary support personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Scrubbing for surgical cases in the cardiovascular/open heart specialty.
  • Handling instruments, supplies, medication, media, specimens, and instrument cases.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Cardiovascular/open heart experience is required.
  • Fit Test: Required for Onboard.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination: Required for Onboard.
  • Influenza vaccine: Required for Onboard.
  • TB Test: Required for Onboard.
  • Varicella vaccination: Required for Onboard.
  • Annual TB Questionnaire: Required for Onboard.
  • Physical/Health Statement: Required for Onboard.
  • Driver's License/State ID: Required for Onboard.
Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
