Job Overview

Looking for Behavior Technicians wanting to make meaningful changes, one small step at a time.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technicians to join our team of innovative collaborators making great impact in a child's future. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavioral therapy plans under the supervision of licensed clinicians in a one on one setting. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives through evidence-based interventions and patient-centered care. The Behavior Technician will be responsible for supporting behavioral health initiatives, conducting assessments, and maintaining accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Duties

  • Implement individualized behavioral therapy programs based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Collect and record data on client progress during therapy sessions to inform treatment plans.
  • Assist with patient assessment and intake procedures to support diagnostic evaluations.
  • Support patients with developmental disabilities and autism through patient care activities that promote skill development and behavioral improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and effective intervention strategies.
  • Participate in ongoing trainings related to theories in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), including community and play based therapy, pivotal response training, etc.

Requirements

  • Experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, or special education is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with children, individuals with autism, or people with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in data collection, medical documentation, and understanding of medical records management.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively with people with disabilities in a compassionate and patient manner.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to perform patient assessments and support intake processes efficiently.
  • A background or interest in behavioral health, diagnostic evaluation, or related fields is advantageous. This position provides an enriching environment for those passionate about supporting individuals with developmental challenges through evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 30 per week
