Job Description

This is a full-time non-exempt hourly position that plays a vital part in supporting our community partners and reports directly to the Agency Dock Supervisor. The Warehouse Associate (Agency Dock) will work closely with the Operations Manager, Receiving Manager, Inventory Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager, donors, and partner agencies. This position helps ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of all orders off the Dare to Care agency dock. Important responsibilities include picking/pulling orders, loading/unloading trucks, general janitorial services, backing up the front desk with assisting neighbors as needed, and other duties as assigned. A significant part of this job is community-facing, interacting with Dare to Care partners, donors, our neighbors, and the community - ensuring interactions reflects our commitment to belonging, respect, innovation, and safety.

What You'll Do:

· Be responsible for assisting all operations that pertain to the agency dock.

· Communicates agency dock issues with Partner Development as needed.

· Assist with the safe loading of agency partner vehicles.

· Assist with hand-billing additional products given out on the front dock.

· Assist with the daily order process (review, release, close, confirm).

· Unload, weigh, receipt, and store food drive donations.

· Assist with creating daily order summary.

· Greet all dock visitors (partners, donors, neighbors, etc.).

· Help accurately manage agency dock inventory.

· Ensure work area is kept clean and orderly.

· Assist with cleaning the warehouse as needed to maintain AIB compliance/standards.

· Work closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager to ensure that all warehouse production goals are met.

· Assist with auditing orders daily before the dock opens.

· Inspect products for defects and damage.

· Assist with picking/pulling orders as needed (cooler, freezer, dry).

· Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations.

· Safely operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.

· Assist with general janitorial services as needed.

· Backup the Community Liaison at the front desk as necessary to assist neighbors in need of food assistance.

· Other duties as assigned.

What It Takes:

· High School degree or equivalent

· 1-year experience

· Ability to lift up to 60lbs.

· Valid driver's license or state issued photo ID

· Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and always be safety conscious.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

This job is operated in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such pallet jacks, hand trucks and forklifts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employees must be able to work in varying temperature environments (including industrial walk-in cooler and freezer) with some exposure to varying elements of weather. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to working near moving standard warehouse equipment.

Employees are required to crouch, stoop and bend with both legs. Employees are required to talk and listen without assistance. Employees must be able to lift and move 60 pounds in a single package. Good manual dexterity skills are required as well as good eye-hand coordination. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

This position requires occasional local travel for meetings or professional development opportunities. Occasional night, weekend or on-call work may be required.

Position Type & Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). It is eligible for overtime pay. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This position requires occasional evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities.
