Position
This position is accountable for defining and developing detailed market requirements for Digi Infrastructure Management products and identifying market needs, competitive activities, and potential return on investment. The successful candidate will be a key driver of the product strategy, life cycle and engaging with key customer success initiatives. Key to success in this role is to assess end user needs to define key end-user needs and communicate to technical teams, capturing regular external feedback from both internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with all areas of the organization including Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, and Legal functions for maximizing product line growth initiatives. Recommend technology solutions and products for target market segments and/or customers in order to retain current customers with existing product solutions or migrate them to next generation technologies.
- Drive execution and contribute to the development of Digi's product roadmap based on market potential, technology fit, core competencies, voice-of customer, and financial returns
- Recommend products for EOL status and lead the development and implementation of the EOL strategy
- Cradle to grave product management from conception and market introduction to EOL implementation. Support the application of market research to product plans which will develop positioning, pricing, packaging and promotions to capitalize on key market segments.
- Developing sales tools to train and support sales in conjunction with corporate training resources
- Delivering presentations to customers or other external groups
- Working with corporate marketing to create materials and rollout plans in accordance with plan and budget
Who You Are and What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or Communications or related work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in product management
- Strong ability to embrace and incorporate new technology concepts
- Experience working with standard networking protocols, industrial and serial protocols, cellular and wireless protocols, embedded Linux, Modbus, SCADA, MQTT, or Digi Remote Manager (DRM)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage a product line, including recommending technology direction and target markets as well as driving forecasting, inventory, and product cost optimization.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage competing priorities and meet commitments
- Travel requirement: approximately 15%

Digi International offers a distinctive Total Rewards package including a short-term incentive program, new hire stock award, paid parental leave, open (uncapped) PTO, and hybrid work environment in addition to our competitive medical, health & wellbeing and compensation offerings.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $93,500 – $146,500. Pay ranges are determined by role, job level and primary job location. The range displayed reflects the reasonable range we anticipate paying for this position and reflects the cost of labor within several U.S. geographic markets. The specific salary offered within the range will depend on various factors including, but not limited to the candidate's relevant and prior experience, education, skills, and primary work location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each position. Pay ranges are typically reviewed and updated annually.
