Job Overview:

As an Entry-Level Automotive Repair Technician, you will be responsible for performing basic maintenance and repair tasks on various types of vehicles. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, you will learn and develop the skills needed to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles according to manufacturer standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for cars and a desire to start a career in the automotive repair industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and battery replacements.
  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing automotive issues, including brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, and engine components.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and ensure safety and reliability.
  • Use automotive diagnostic tools and equipment to assist in identifying and troubleshooting issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Learn and adhere to manufacturer and company service standards and protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding repair progress and any additional services needed.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and an automotive technology program completion is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working on vehicles.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
