About the Role

Capital Landscapes is growing, and we are hiring a Lawn Maintenance Operations Lead to help manage our lawn crews, improve efficiency, and maintain high service standards.

This is not just a mower position. Your primary focus will be:

  • managing multiple crews
  • improving production and workflows
  • monitoring quality and safety
  • making sure KPIs are met

You may assist in the field when needed, but leadership and oversight come first.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily lawn maintenance operations
  • Review schedules and routing; identify ways to improve efficiency
  • Track production and performance against KPIs
  • Inspect properties and maintain quality control standards
  • Coach and train crew leads and team members
  • Support onboarding and field training
  • Communicate with the office about progress, delays, or issues
  • Address customer questions professionally when needed
  • Ensure safety, equipment care, and company policies are followed

KPI Examples

  • On-time route completion
  • Reduced call-backs
  • Labor and fuel within budget targets
  • Consistent quality inspection scores
  • Reliable crew attendance and performance

(Exact goals will be reviewed during onboarding.)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in lawn/landscape industry (required)
  • Leadership or crew management experience (required)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and hold people accountable
  • Valid driver's license
  • Comfortable using phones/tablets for reporting and scheduling
