propulsion controls software developers to manage the software delivery, This position provides an outstanding opportunity to lead high performing teams and workstreams required to ensure the on-time software delivery of propulsion controls software. You'll work directly with other Software Planning & Integration team members, Project Control teams, propulsion calibration teams, and propulsion controls software developers to manage the software delivery, integration, and validation plans for all assigned programs.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
    1+ years of experience program planning, project management ( co-ops, internships, coursework included)

  • Masters degree in Engineering
  • Solid understanding of Ford Global Product Development System deliverables and reporting processes
  • Program management experience
  • Proficient in and/or able to quickly learn and apply new engineering management and data analysis tools (e.g. JIRA, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience with Ford's in-house software tools (UPS, BP, GTPS)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding Organizational skills

What you'll do...

  • Develop, maintain, and lead the propulsion controls release plans to support program timing and program complexity for assigned programs, in line with Ford GPDS milestones
  • Work with Project Controls to understand program timing, assumptions, and program hardware specifications
  • Produce feature by phase plan for each software release
  • Produce application and validation plan for each software release
  • Issue Feature Cycle Plan (FCP) requests to feature teams
  • Work with validation team to meet validation plan
  • Work closely with integration team on plans and bug fixes
  • Maintain data in application planning tools and keep Jira up to date for all assigned programs; drive issues to resolution; keep issue status updated
  • Track late program software changes through the change control process and ensure software delivery of approved changes
  • Participate in gasoline and electrified change control board, Agile scrum team meetings, program PMST meetings, and lead software CPMT meetings
  • Support bill-of-feature and technical design review process
  • Help identify areas to improve software to help Ford deliver the highest quality, lowest cost products
