Job Summary
A Senior Blast Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This role involves blast load calculations, creating design packages, ensuring compliance, and coordinating with teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design development of structural and blast engineering designs for the GBSD program project.
  • Prepare studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations.
  • Ensure work adheres to applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements.
  • Collaborate with other Structural engineers and technical disciplines.
  • Perform formal structural calculations dealing with primarily blast loads.
  • Develop concrete and steel structural design and drawings.
  • Perform Foundation design and drawings.
  • Review and integrate customer & vendor information from subcontractors.
  • Develop design configuration packages for configuration control, change management, and procurement.
  • Execute to schedule requirement while maintaining a high degree of quality.
  • Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines.

Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, VISIO, and other common computer programs.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Broad knowledge of the application of Structural engineering design principles.
  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards.

Education And Experience

  • Requires a BS degree in Engineering (Structural or related) with
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience.
