About Our Client:
Our client is seeking a Director of Restoration Operations to join their organization, which provides cleanup and repair services for residential and commercial properties damaged by water, fire, mold, storms, or other disasters. This position will share responsibility for a $10 MM book of business to include Business Development, Sales, Scoping and Estimating, Rebuild operations and Final Collections. Above all, you will be responsible for leading a team that supports homeowners during significant crises.

Job Summary:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Director of Restoration Operations to lead their rebuild department and drive strategic growth for their growth-oriented restoration company. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of extensive restoration expertise, business financial acumen, and experience leading a team to success. This role demands strong leadership skills and focuses on coaching, building, and mentoring team members to continue to succeed.
Job Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage a team producing $10 MM in restoration projects ensuring profitability on every project.
- Lead project teams, including 10 project managers.
- Develop and implement standardized processes and best practices across all projects
- Conduct regular project reviews and quality control inspections with meticulous attention to detail
- Ensure compliance with restoration protocols, vendors, and adjusters.
Financial Management & Analysis
- Develop detailed project budgets and cost estimates using financial modeling techniques
- Monitor project profitability and cash flow, implementing corrective measures when necessary
- Analyze cost variances and prepare comprehensive financial reports for executive leadership
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize project margins
- Collaborate with the accounting team on project cost accounting and revenue recognition
Strategic Planning & Business Development
- Develop long-term strategies aligned with company growth objectives
- Participate in estimate preparation and client presentations for new business opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and insurance carriers.
- Mentor and develop team members.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of restoration or construction experience
- 3+ years in senior management roles
Financial Expertise
- Demonstrated experience in restoration or construction project management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Knowledge of cost accounting, cash flow analysis, and profitability metrics
- Experience with contract negotiation and risk assessment
Leadership & Communication
- Proven track record of leading high-performing restoration or construction teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Professional demeanor with clients, vendors, and insurance carriers
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base pay $90-115K based on experience + quarterly bonus plan
