What you'll do
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate physical function and mobility.
- Provide hands-on treatment using techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to track patient progress.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients moving from hospital to home or community care.
- Stay current with advancements in physiotherapy practices and medical terminology.
Experience
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Demonstrated experience in acute care settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for effective documentation and patient management.
- Previous experience in both inpatient and outpatient clinic environments is advantageous.
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
