Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Appliance Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of household appliances. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in the field. The Appliance Technician will also assist with appliance installations and provide technical support to clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and other household units
  • Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively
  • Perform mechanical repairs, electrical repairs, and equipment replacements as needed
  • Conduct appliance installations and ensure proper setup according to manufacturer specifications
  • Resolve complex service issues
  • Operate box trucks for delivery and service calls; ensure safe driving practices in accordance with traffic laws
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly about repairs, timelines, and maintenance tips
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and parts used during repairs
  • Assist with assembly or installation of new appliances when required
  • Follow safety protocols during all field service activities to ensure personal and customer safety

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in appliance repair or related field service roles
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Electrical experience and familiarity with HVAC or refrigeration systems preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
  • Knowledge of equipment repair, assembly, and electrical systems necessary for appliance maintenance
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in various environments and adapt to changing schedules
