Job Title: On-Water Marine Assistance Dispatch Representative
Shifts Available:
1. Wed-Sun 7a-3p
2. Fri-Tues 3p-11p
Job Function: Compass Marine Services, Inc is looking for a multi-talented professional who is skilled in both customer service and dispatching. The primary function of this role is to respond to distress calls on the water by dispatching marine towers (think AAA for the water), and perform other call center services for marine industry partners.

Marine Dispatcher/CSR Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive inbound distress calls and coordinate on-water towing services for Company's clients.
- Locate clients based on coordinates or geographical location by utilizing Company's mapping system and cell phone geolocating software.
- Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
- Maintain constant communication with vendors and customers during a customer disablement.
- Maintain and update national database of tow vendors, marinas, and authorities.
- Enter accurate vendor and customer information into call logs and insurance database.
- Enter new customers into management system
- Be punctual and reliable by maintaining regular attendance.
- Flexible to work different shifts when needed.
- Stay composed in stressful situations
- Handle multiple phone calls at a time.
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Marine Dispatcher/CSR Knowledge and Abilities:
- A good understanding of US geography
- Ability to act quickly and assess complex situations
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
- Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Type at an accurate rate of speed
- Comfortable with computer web-based programs
- Work cooperatively with others
- General understanding of boats and boating a plus
Dispatcher Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of Dispatching or Customer Service Experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
