Job Summary

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Take orders from guests promptly, providing friendly recommendations and upselling where appropriate to enhance the guest experience.
  • Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions swiftly while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and billing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized bar area by following food safety standards, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation protocols.
  • Monitor guest consumption responsibly, ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws and company policies.
  • Engage with guests in a lively manner typical of nightclubs or banquet events, creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages social interaction.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff or catering teams during events to ensure seamless service delivery for food and beverage needs.
  • Handle cash register operations confidently, including cashiering duties like processing payments, giving change, and balancing tills at shift end.
  • Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies, checking for expired products, and notifying management of stock shortages.
  • Uphold all safety regulations related to food handling, alcohol service, and workplace safety standards at all times.

Experience

  • Proven experience working as a bartender in fast-paced environments such as fine dining restaurants, nightclubs, or banquet halls is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for efficient transaction processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously through excellent time management skills in busy settings.
  • Strong customer service background with the ability to engage guests positively while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
  • Experience serving in the food industry or retail environment is beneficial; knowledge of food safety practices is required.
  • Previous roles involving catering or large event service will be considered an asset.
  • Basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling and sales calculations; familiarity with retail math is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of brewing techniques or beverage crafting adds value to your skill set in this role. Pay: $ $25.41 per hour
