Warehouse Associate – Zeswitz Music (Reading, PA)

Zeswitz Music, located in Reading, PA, is seeking a motivated, hands-on individual to join our warehouse team. This position is critical to the company's mission of serving music educators and their students.

With over 100 years of experience in retail, repair, and school services, Zeswitz is a trusted partner to music educators and musicians. We proudly serve schools and customers across Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and Maryland.

Position: Warehouse Associate

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders
  • Maintain serialized instrument inventory:
  • Assist with annual physical inventory counts and routine cycle counts
  • Fulfill daily rental orders, ranging from 30 per day to 800+ during peak delivery seasons
  • Process daily returns of rental instruments
  • Assist with processing and fulfilling seasonal bulk truck deliveries
  • Coordinate instrument loaner sets for events and school needs
  • Assist with UPS and pallet shipping logistics
  • Maintain overall warehouse cleanliness and organization
  • Provide general operational support as needed (e.g., unpacking, organizing, and preparing instruments and materials)

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational, communication, computer, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasonal periods
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of band and orchestra instruments is a plus

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with facilities upkeep and general maintenance support

Position Details:

  • Full-time (40 hours/week), with seasonal overtime (primarily, but not limited to, June, September, and October)
  • Regular hours: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Monday through Friday
  • Seasonal overtime may include evening hours
  • Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k); paid holidays; and paid time off (PTO)
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
