Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive and heavy equipment repair, with experience in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all vehicles and machinery are maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment, including tractors, excavators, cranes, and farm machinery.
  • Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues with engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks.
  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively.
  • Execute alignment, suspension work, and tire service as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles and equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle maintenance needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role; dealership experience is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, diesel engine repair, HVAC systems, and heavy equipment operation.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment and tractor-trailer mechanics is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
  • Experience with fabrication techniques is a plus; soldering skills are also beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
