Job Title: Real Estate Paralegal

Overview

A solo real estate attorney is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to provide comprehensive support in residential and commercial real estate transactions. This role requires a dependable professional capable of working independently, managing multiple files, and maintaining strong communication with clients, lenders, realtors, title companies, and other parties involved in each transaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Management: Independently manage real estate transactions from contract to closing, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Document Drafting: Prepare and revise deeds, purchase agreements, affidavits, closing statements, preliminary title letters, and other real estate documents.
  • Title & Due Diligence: Order and review title commitments, payoff statements, and tax certifications; identify and help resolve title issues.
  • Closing Coordination: Coordinate with clients, lenders, and realtors to schedule closings and prepare all necessary documents.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, gathering necessary information, and ensuring a smooth transaction process.
  • Closing Preparation & Post-Closing: Prepare closing packages, assemble settlement statements, handle document recordings, and compile final closing letters.
  • Office & File Management: Maintain organized digital and physical files, manage calendars, track deadlines, oversee correspondence, and support general office operations.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks that support the attorney and office workflow.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • Prior experience as a real estate paralegal in a law firm or title company preferred.
  • Familiarity with both residential and commercial transactions preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of real estate closing procedures, title review, and document drafting.
  • Excellent communication, client service, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with real estate or closing software (Qualia, SoftPro, etc.).
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and organization.

Work Environment

  • One-on-one collaboration with a solo attorney.
  • Significant autonomy and responsibility in managing files.
  • Small, dynamic office environment where initiative and flexibility are highly valued.
  • Full-time role; occasional overtime during heavy closing periods.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation based on experience.

Pay: $35, $65,000.00 per year
