Accounts Receivable Clerk

Meridian is looking to add an Accounts Receivable Clerk that is responsible for compiling, processing and maintaining receivable records. Understanding and experience with billing health insurance is a plus. Experience with Quickbooks and Excel are necessary.

Starting rate is $16-$20 per hour. All onsite essential staff are currently receiving $3.40/hour "incentive pay" in addition to their hourly rate.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties):

1. Responsible for verifying demographic and insurance coverage for billing purposes;

2. Serve as liaison with billing service providers;

3. Ability to process checks/payments when received;

4. Update and maintain database;

5. Prepare for and conduct audits and verify reports;

6. Reconciles statements;

7. Ability to process and follow-up on billed services;

8. Maintains account receivable files;

9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate, financial or accounting coursework preferred;
• Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner;
• Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative;
• Ability to meet timely deadlines;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills;
• Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative;
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel, QuickBooks experience required.
