Type: W2 contract

Duration: 12 months

Job Description -

Technical skills that are required for the role:

  1. Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical product development, including knowledge of federal and international regulations, such as FDA QSR, IEC 60601, ISO: 13485, 14971, 62304, and 13485, Medical Device Directive or other regulating agencies is required.

Experience 3D modeling software, i.e. CREO and/or SolidWorks

Experience designing and developing mechanical and electromechanical assemblies

Design skills include an understanding of drafting standards, design progression, GD&T in compliance with ASTM Y14.5, DFSS/DFMA, tolerance analysis and DFMEA methodologies

Education Required:
Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Years' Experience Required: 2

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems, such as metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, resonance, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs. May be responsible for the transfer from R&D to manufacturing.

SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM:
Typically, an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower-level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University).

Contacts others to share information, status, needs and issues in order to inform, gain input, and support decision-making. Leadership and Talent Management: May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and / or employee in Support Career Stream.

Required Knowledge and Experience:
Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Requires a University Degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
