We seek a proactive, production-focused content creator ready to jump in and drive results. The ideal Marketing Associate is a natural problem-solver with strong project management skills who views every challenge as an opportunity to connect people with purpose. You'll carry out daily administrative responsibilities while maintaining excellent communication to staff. Your promotional and communication skills will make a direct, positive impact on our community.
Responsibilities- Create compelling and authentic content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, with the goal of increasing program participation.
- Help execute digital ad campaigns to promote YMCA programs.
- Help execute email marketing campaigns.
- Website maintenance – updates, review of content
- Produce / design and manage on-site signage to promote programs and services.
- Ensure all marketing materials adhere to strict brand and graphic standards, maintaining the authentic "Y voice."
- Assist with special projects, including marketing support for special fund raising campaigns
- Be willing to cover events to capture footage and photography.
- Handle multiple projects/deadlines with excellent organizational & time-management skills.
- Collaborate closely with Program Directors to understand and promote their program needs
- Provide administrative assistance to Finance and other departments
- Assist with Fundraising Events
- Associate's degree, experience in a related field, or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- One (1) to three (3) years of administrative experience and experience working with staff and volunteers.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills - written and oral.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- One year of experience in advertising or digital media or relevant course work with applied experience
- Proven ability to create engaging, authentic content.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
- Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn digital marketing software like DAXKO ENGAGE.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite or Canva.
- Excellent written communication skills with an ability to create compelling copy.
- Embraces emerging AI technology.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- A passion for the YMCA's mission and a desire to help our community thrive.
- Within 30 days of hire, completion of Child Abuse Prevention, NYS Sexual Harassment Training, Introduction to the Y's Cause and Culture.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
