Associate Digital Designer
(San Francisco, CA)

As an Associate Digital Designer at Fastly, you'll contribute to our brand's presence across all digital touchpoints. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate our brand identity into engaging digital experiences through web design, motion graphics, and interactive content. This role offers the opportunity to grow your skills in digital design while contributing to projects that drive customer engagement and business growth. You'll balance brand consistency with digital craft, supporting scalable solutions for our sales and marketing teams.

What You'll Do

• Design web experiences for and landing pages, focusing on usability and marketing objectives within established brand guidelines
• Apply our established brand system across digital platforms, maintaining consistency and following best practices
• Create motion graphics, animations, and digital content for campaigns and social media
• Help maintain design systems, component libraries, and templates that support brand application across channels
• Collaborate with web development, marketing, and product teams to implement digital experiences
• Apply accessibility and performance best practices to support inclusive design

What We're Looking For

• Digital design experience with foundational skills in web design, digital campaigns, and motion graphics
• Portfolio demonstrating digital design work including web layouts, digital advertising, and animated content with attention to brand consistency
• Familiarity with using AI-powered tools to enhance design efficiency in areas like asset creation, iteration, and exploration of design concepts.
• Working knowledge of design tools like Figma and motion graphics software like After Effects
• Basic understanding of responsive web design principles and how designs translate to web implementation
• Familiarity with digital marketing channels such as social media, paid advertising, and landing pages
• Understanding of fundamental UX principles and web accessibility basics
• Self-directed work style with ability to manage projects and collaborate across teams
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative environment

We'll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:

• Exposure to analytics tools or data-informed design decisions
• Experience creating animations or micro-interactions for web
• Familiarity with SaaS products or B2B digital experiences
• Any experience with content management systems or working alongside developers
• Previous experience at technology companies or agencies serving tech clients
• Basic familiarity with HTML/CSS or interest in learning technical aspects of digital design

Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $90,650 to $108,780.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly's equity and discretionary bonus programs.
