Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Front of House Manager to lead our hospitality team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts and bartenders, ensuring high levels of customer service and team engagement
  • Manage shift schedules, assign duties, and oversee daily operations to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Train new team members on food handling, the Toast POS system, customer service protocols, and food safety standards
  • Oversee customer interactions to ensure a positive dining experience; address guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure smooth communication between front and back of house, including food preparation and delivery timelines
  • Monitor inventory control for front-of-house supplies; assist with ordering and stock management as needed
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the Toast POS system; perform cash handling duties during shifts and do a weekly bank run
  • Order beer, wine, and liquor for the bar; maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Enforce food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in compliance with health department guidelines
  • Support management in budgeting efforts, cost control initiatives, and operational planning
  • Conduct staff training sessions focused on hospitality management, food production basics, and restaurant procedures
  • Interview and hire potential candidates for front-of-house roles
  • Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food service industry; casual dining or quick service experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems (Toast which we use a plus), cash handling expertise required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, development, and supervising teams
  • Familiarity with food preparation processes, food safety standards, and kitchen management principles
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations gracefully
  • Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, shift scheduling, and operational workflows
  • Knowledge of hospitality management practices including bar operations and private events
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a welcoming atmosphere
  • Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within a food industry setting is highly desirable
