About the Opportunity

We're opening a new ASAM Level 3.1 residential treatment center in Marshall, Missouri, dedicated to supporting individuals on their recovery journey through compassionate, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care. As a Case Manager, you'll play a vital role in helping clients identify needs, access community resources, and develop the life skills necessary for sustained recovery.

Position Overview

The Case Manager coordinates individualized recovery and discharge plans for clients in residential treatment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Case Manager assists clients with service coordination, goal setting, and community reintegration while ensuring compliance with Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) and ASAM 3.1 standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Support & Coordination:
  • Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized service and discharge plans.
  • Assist clients in accessing medical, mental health, legal, housing, and employment resources.
  • Coordinate referrals and maintain documentation of all case management services.
  • Support clients in identifying strengths, barriers, and recovery goals.
  • Advocate for client needs and assist with problem-solving and life skills development.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Collaborate with clinical, medical, and peer support staff to ensure cohesive care delivery.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment plan reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with referral sources, families, and outside agencies.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records consistent with DMH and HIPAA standards.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all case management activities comply with 9 CSR and ASAM 3.1 requirements.
  • Participate in audits, chart reviews, and performance improvement activities.
  • Support staff training and contribute to program development and community linkages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related human services field required; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience providing case management or recovery support in a behavioral health or SUD setting.
  • Knowledge of community resources, DMH standards, and ASAM 3.1 requirements.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, solution-focused, and comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Must pass background check and drug screening in accordance with DMH requirements.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in a residential or recovery housing setting.
  • Familiarity with motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based case management.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and DMH documentation standards.

Schedule

Full-time, on-site position. Flexibility required to meet client and program needs.
