We are seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to support the development, management, and monitoring of budgets across multiple sites and programs. This role ensures budgets are accurately prepared, maintained, and communicated to internal teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive annual line-item budgets for assigned programs.
- Provide analytical support and recommendations during the budgeting process.
- Update and adjust budgets throughout the year in response to changes in funding, expenses, or program needs.
- Prepare and submit budget close-outs in a timely manner.
- Maintain all budget information in the accounting system and ensure accurate version control of budget documents.
- Act as a liaison between finance, program teams, and external funding sources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial analysis.
- NYC DHS experience is required.
- Experience preparing and analyzing budgets.
- Familiarity with fiscal management for government and grant-funded programs.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
