Mitigation Technician

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Mitigation Technician with 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in water, fire, and mold mitigation. This role is for someone who knows the work, understands job-site expectations, and can operate independently while still being a strong team player.
You'll be responsible for performing mitigation work from start to finish while maintaining industry standards, safety practices, and clear documentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform water, fire, and mold mitigation services
- Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, HEPA air scrubbers)
- Execute controlled demolition (drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinetry, etc.)
- Take moisture readings and document daily dry logs
- Photograph job progress and maintain proper documentation
- Follow IICRC standards and company protocols
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, adjusters, and project managers
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Load, unload, and maintain equipment and company vehicles
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of mitigation experience (required)
- Strong knowledge of water damage mitigation processes
- Experience with fire and mold mitigation preferred
- Ability to read moisture meters and interpret drying data
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in crawlspaces, attics, and confined areas
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in residential and commercial environments
Preferred Certifications (Not Required, But a Plus)
- IICRC WRT, ASD, AMRT, or FSRT
