Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mitigation Technician with 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in water, fire, and mold mitigation. This role is for someone who knows the work, understands job-site expectations, and can operate independently while still being a strong team player.

You'll be responsible for performing mitigation work from start to finish while maintaining industry standards, safety practices, and clear documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform water, fire, and mold mitigation services
  • Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, HEPA air scrubbers)
  • Execute controlled demolition (drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinetry, etc.)
  • Take moisture readings and document daily dry logs
  • Photograph job progress and maintain proper documentation
  • Follow IICRC standards and company protocols
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, adjusters, and project managers
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Load, unload, and maintain equipment and company vehicles

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of mitigation experience (required)
  • Strong knowledge of water damage mitigation processes
  • Experience with fire and mold mitigation preferred
  • Ability to read moisture meters and interpret drying data
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in crawlspaces, attics, and confined areas
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in residential and commercial environments

Preferred Certifications (Not Required, But a Plus)

  • IICRC WRT, ASD, AMRT, or FSRT
