a starting pay rate of
$19.50

Position Responsibilities

• Receives product into the Distribution Center and ensures shipments received are in good condition and accurate by inspecting freight for damage and signing freight bills; verifying quantity ordered versus quantity received; checking all shipments against packing lists; and completing necessary paperwork for reimbursements or discrepancies.
• Ensures all required products have verified bar code labels and human-readable Johnstone stock numbers by scanning products, printing labels, resolving labeling discrepancies, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Stores checked-in products by stocking picking stock, filling bin boxes, facing cartons, checking for product mixing, and rotating products where needed.
• Ensures products are readily available to order fillers by monitoring stock on shelves or bins; replenishing picking stock from reserves; maintaining control of products in the reserve stock area; and monitoring "Pull Tickets" and giving priority to Shipping department requests.
• Maintains current department accuracy and efficiency standards and follows department standard operating procedures.
• Maintains a safe work environment by working safely, following current Distribution safety rules, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean work area.
• Completing any additional tasks or duties designated by the Distribution Center Supervisor.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk on a concrete floor through a warehouse for much of the workday. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and lift up to fifty pounds. The individual is occasionally required to talk or hear and lift up to seventy pounds. Special vision requirements are distance vision, peripheral vision, and color vision.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work safely in all job tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
