Duties

• Prepare and maintain growing environments, including greenhouses and outdoor plots, ensuring optimal light, temperature, humidity, and airflow conditions for healthy plant growth
• Monitor plant health daily by identifying pests, diseases, or deficiencies through visual inspection and plant identification skills
• Manage irrigation systems efficiently to provide consistent watering schedules tailored to plant needs
• Prune, train, and support plants to promote healthy growth and maximize yield potential
• Operate hand tools and mechanical equipment safely for planting, transplanting, pruning, and harvesting activities
• Assist with soil preparation, fertilization, and composting to sustain nutrient-rich growing conditions
• Conduct regular quality checks during different growth stages to ensure plants meet quality standards
• Perform heavy lifting tasks related to planting materials, soil bags, harvests, or equipment as needed in outdoor or greenhouse settings
• Keep detailed records of growth cycles, environmental conditions, pest management actions, and harvest data using basic math for calculations and data tracking
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grow area to promote a safe and efficient workspace
• Collaborate with team members on planting schedules, crop rotation plans, and harvesting timelines

Skills

• Proven growing experience with a strong understanding of horticulture principles and plant biology
• Hands-on experience with greenhouse management and outdoor farming techniques
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and water management practices
• Familiarity with lawn care, landscaping, agriculture, gardening, and farming best practices
• Mechanical knowledge for operating tools such as trimmers, pruning shears, soil mixers or other cultivation equipment
• Ability to identify various cannabis plants at different growth stages accurately
• Basic math skills for measurements, dosing fertilizers/pesticides, and record keeping
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
