Lakehouse Tax & Accounting Services is a public accounting firm in the Pittsburgh region delivering tax and accounting services to businesses (primarily professional service entities) and individuals. Lakehouse has the sophistication of a much larger firm while simultaneously offering the attention to detail and personal connection to clients that one would expect from a much smaller firm.

Role Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you'll work closely with clients to prepare and review a variety of tax returns — including individual, corporate, and partnership filings — and lead tax planning projects that make a real impact. You'll also research complex issues, develop practical solutions, and help clients achieve their financial goals.

As a senior member of our team, you'll review clients' monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (non-attest) prepared by staff and serve as a primary point of contact for many client relationships. You'll mentor staff, review their work, and share your expertise to help them develop their technical and professional skills. You'll also collaborate directly with managers and partners, gaining valuable exposure to client management and business development opportunities.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4+ years of tax experience in public accounting
  • Solid knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
  • Strong understanding of accrual and cash basis accounting principles
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent designation (or actively pursuing)
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, ownership mindset
