Senior Business Analyst
Location: Nashville TN (Hybrid)
Contract: 12 months, no conversion
Bill Rate Max: 120 per hour
Overview**
High visibility project with an aggressive timeline and significant executive investment. The Senior Business Analyst will partner directly with program leadership to drive requirements, roadmap activities and delivery for a critical initiative supporting US Retail and Private Wealth. This individual must be able to hold their own with senior stakeholders, run scrum ceremonies, and keep cross functional teams aligned in a fast moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead core Business Analyst functions: requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation
  • Own end to end user stories, including writing, refinement and acceptance criteria
  • Run daily scrum meetings and lead all scrum ceremonies as needed
  • Serve as a partner level stakeholder manager: push back when appropriate, keep teams aligned and escalate risks early
  • Support project management duties: timelines, RAID tracking, reporting and coordination with program leadership
  • Contribute to product roadmap discussions and help translate business vision into actionable features
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure clarity across system impacts, dependencies and integration points
  • Query data using SQL for validation, analysis and troubleshooting (no development)
  • Support new functionality, automation and reporting enhancements within an existing internal web application used by financial advisors
  • Collaborate across the US Retail and Private Wealth groups to ensure requirements are accurate and aligned

Required Experience

  • 8 to 10 years as a Business Analyst in enterprise environments
  • Strong background in Agile delivery with hands on experience running scrum ceremonies
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholders and operate as a true partner to a Program Manager
  • Experience writing high quality user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Strong understanding of road mapping and breaking down epics into features and stories
  • SQL querying experience for basic data validation and analysis
  • Background supporting technology projects that involve web applications, automation and reporting
  • Experience operating in complex financial services environments is a strong plus
