Solutions Architect – Liquidity Technology (VP to Director Level)

I'm advising a leading Investment Bank building a Strategic Liquidity Platform to modernize global liquidity, funding, and balance sheet management. They are looking for a Lead Solutions Architect - you will be the technical lead responsible for the platform's end-to-end architecture and design. You will ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and technology strategy while providing hands-on leadership to deliver a scalable, data-driven, and regulatory-grade liquidity ecosystem.

You will:

  • Own the end-to-end solution and integration architecture for the platform
  • Provide technical vision, leadership, and design governance
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, cloud, data, and security frameworks
  • Oversee technical delivery for large, complex initiatives

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Integration:

  • Design secure, scalable, and resilient end-to-end solutions aligned with business needs and enterprise architecture standards. Define architectural principles and integration patterns.

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, develop architectural blueprints, and resolve complex technical issues while ensuring high-quality delivery.

Enterprise Collaboration:

  • Partner with enterprise architecture, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure consistent execution of IT strategy.

Requirements & Traceability:

  • Analyze use cases and integration needs; work with Business Analysts to maintain end-to-end requirements traceability.

Strategic Planning & Innovation:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in modern and emerging technologies to drive innovation and reduce risk.

Delivery Oversight:

  • Provide technical input to planning, track progress, and escalate risks to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications and Skills

Technical Expertise:

  • Hands-on experience in software development and solution delivery
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure preferred), microservices, and data integration
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles

Domain Knowledge:

  • Experience with Treasury, Liquidity Management, or balance sheet systems preferred

Leadership & Communication:

  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and influence stakeholders

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years' experience in solution architecture and technology leadership
  • Complex platform or vendor system integration in Treasury or Liquidity Technology
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial systems
  • Experience with large-scale data platforms, pipelines, or calculation engines
