Position Summary:

The Director at Southeastern Health and Wellness Institute's Charleston campus is a dynamic leadership position responsible for overseeing day-to-day campus operations, ensuring program compliance, and fostering a positive and engaging environment for students, faculty, and staff. The Director ensures the school operates with excellence, supports student achievement, meets accreditation standards, and reflects the mission and values of Southeastern Health and Wellness Institute.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations

  • Provide effective leadership to staff and faculty while cultivating a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Oversee daily campus operations, including class scheduling, instructor support, and clinic flow.
  • Monitor enrollment trends and work with admissions and marketing teams to support campus growth.

Academic Oversight

  • Ensure all instructional programs comply with curriculum standards, regulatory requirements, and state board regulations.
  • Collaborate with instructors to maintain high educational outcomes, student satisfaction, and program quality.
  • Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and behavior to ensure institutional standards are met.

Compliance & Accreditation

  • Maintain campus compliance with accrediting bodies, Department of Education regulations, and SC LLR board requirements.
  • Ensure proper recordkeeping, licensing, and reporting in accordance with institutional and regulatory expectations.
  • Lead campus audits and readiness for site visits as needed.

Student Experience & Retention

  • Foster a supportive environment for students with high-touch communication and coaching.
  • Conduct student orientations and ongoing success workshops to support academic retention.
  • Address student concerns, grievances, and conduct issues in a timely and professional manner.

Community & Brand Representation

  • Represent the Charleston campus at community events, career fairs, and partner engagements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, spas, and wellness partners for externship and employment opportunities.
  • Promote the Southeastern Health and Wellness Institute brand with integrity, passion, and consistency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Education, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of leadership or campus management experience in a post-secondary or career education environment.
  • Strong understanding of cosmetology, esthetics, wellness, or allied health education programs.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and compliance (NACCAS, SC LLR, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Passion for student success and institutional growth.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Thursday. Occasional evenings or weekends for events, open houses, or campus activities.
