Job Details

  • Location: Council Bluffs, IA with floating to Omaha campuses)
  • Start Date: October 27, 2025
  • End Date: February 28, 2026
  • Contract Type: Travel Contract
  • Shift: Days (7:30 AM–4:00 PM)
  • Hours/Week: 40 guaranteed
  • Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Care Setting: Acute
  • Charting System: EPIC

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist with left heart caths, stent placements, ICDs, pacemakers, and other interventional cardiac procedures
  • Scrub to assist physicians, monitor patients, and document cases using Siemens Sensis, Apollo, and Phillips IVUS systems
  • Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols (no artificial nails permitted)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience
  • Must be proficient in scrubbing, monitoring, and documentation of cardiac procedures
  • Must have reliable transportation and be within 30 minutes of the home campus

Education & Certifications

  • BSN: Not required
  • License: ARRT or RCIS (submit-ready)
  • Certifications Required: BLS, ARRT or RCIS

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of CAD, AMI, and adult cardiac interventions
  • Familiarity with Siemens cath lab equipment and EPIC EMR
  • Ability to adapt to multi-campus workflows and emergency call-ins
  • Excellent communication and teamwork in high-pressure environments
