Duties:

- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to patients

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders

- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including monitoring for effectiveness and side effects

- Conduct therapy sessions with individuals, families, or groups to address emotional and behavioral issues

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approach

- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

- Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

- Experience working in a psychiatric or mental health setting is preferred

- Strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment modalities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams

- Ability to provide compassionate care to individuals of all ages with diverse backgrounds and needs

- Proficiency in conducting physical examinations, including neurological assessments

- Knowledge of airway management, catheter care, ICD-9 coding, ventilator management, and health coaching is desirable

- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
