This is a critical hybrid role, serving as the primary hub for logistics, parts sales, inventory control, and frontline customer communication.

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Own)

This role requires a unique combination of organizational skills (Inventory, Logistics) and people skills (Sales Support, Customer Service).

  1. Operations & Facility Management (The Hub)

  2. Facility Management: Run the Bay City facility, ensuring the space is clean, organized, and professional at all times.

  3. Shipping/Receiving: Manage all incoming shipments (parts, freight, forklift) and prepare all outgoing retail and wholesale shipments.
  4. Retail/Display: Create and maintain visually appealing retail parts displays for walk-in customers.
  5. Administration: Maintain digital and physical records, update the weekly company scorecard, and attend management meetings.

  6. Parts Management & Logistics (Inventory Control)

  7. Inventory Ownership: Manage the entire parts warehouse and inventory cycle.

  8. Organization: Ensure all parts in the building are accurately entered and searchable in the inventory system (QuickBooks).
  9. Stock Levels: Maintain appropriate inventory levels, especially ensuring adequate stock for active service agreements.
  10. Purchasing: Request quotes from OEMs and order inventory from vendors as needed.
  11. Accounting Support: Execute COGS bookkeeping tasks and ensure all vendor invoices are accurately entered.

  12. Customer & Field Support (First Line of Communication)

  13. Frontline Gatekeeper: Serve as the first line of communication (phones, email, walk-ins).

  14. Parts Sales: Receive and acknowledge all part requests within 1 hour; provide quotes to wholesale and retail customers.
  15. Billing Assurance: Ensure all customer parts orders are billed appropriately and accurately.
  16. Opportunity Routing: Identify, qualify, and immediately route:
  17. New equipment sales opportunities (to Sales).
  18. Service agreement opportunities (to Sales).
  19. Service, break-fix, and emergency service calls (to Service).
  20. Culture Champion: Proactively identify ways to create delightful customer experiences and support the field and office teams.

$3,000 - $3,500/month (Paid Hourly, $36k - $42k Annual Equivalent)

Monthly bonus program based on sales volume of parts

Schedule

On-site 5 days a week in Bay City facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage complex physical inventory and logistics systems.
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar inventory/accounting software is highly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional telephone and email etiquette.
  • Must be adept at using a forklift (certification preferred or ability to quickly obtain one).
  • A Tenacity trait: The persistence and follow-through required to manage multiple operational demands simultaneously.
