The Restaurant Host/Hostess at the River House at Odette's*greet customers as they enter a restaurant, takes their reservation or shows them to their table. They may also handle phone calls, customer queries about the restaurant and menu, and assist various restaurant staff when necessary. They are expected to know all restaurant menus and specials and special events. The hosts are responsible for maintaining the front area of the restaurant and host stand in an orderly and attractive manner.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Greet guests as they arrive.

· Provide guests with menus and answer any initial questions.

· Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas.

· Assign guests to tables. Keep table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers.

· Answer phone calls, take reservations, and answer questions.

· Respond to complaints and help to resolve them as necessary

· Possess a knowledge of the menu.

· Help other restaurant positions as directed.

· Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule.

· Nights, weekends, and holiday shifts are required.

· Other duties as assigned.

Health Insurance for Full time employees only.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
