Specific Duties

Aid in the recruitment, development, and deployment of our caregiving staff

  • Recruit, screen, and onboard new employees in conjunction with the Director of Operations
  • Monitor training process and caregiver compliance
  • Assist the Director of Operations with caregiver performance reviews
  • Serve as first point of contact for caregivers via phone call, text, and email
  • Contact clients for feedback regarding caregiver performance
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping and payroll reporting to Director of Operations

Ensure exceptional care delivery through managing client/caregiver connections:

  • Cultivate an understanding of the unique relationships between clients and their caregiver(s)
  • Manage client/caregiver schedules in our proprietary platform
  • Review and verify shifts, and respond to care alerts
  • Respond quickly to urgent caregiver and client needs to fulfill service opportunities
  • Periodically work in direct care with clients and as a fill-in as caregiver as needed

Cultivate healthy relationships with clients and their support structures:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their support structures (families, communities, health care professionals, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate client care plans and records, both physical and electronic, in compliance with HIPAA, SC Department of Public Health, and any other regulatory bodies

Support the overall vision and mission of Wellhaven Home Care:

  • Maintain active engagement with our Charleston office, being present in-person 4+ days a week
  • Assist in opportunities to pursue new clients and grow the company throughout the Charleston metro and beyond

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; College Degree preferred
  • Minimum licensure: current CNA license or equivalent
  • Experience in the Senior, Home Care, or Health Care industries
  • Caregiving or nursing experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency with computers, software programs, online platforms and mobile devices
  • Demonstrated experience in a capacity working with direct reports
  • Must be able to pass Drug Screen and Background Check
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology

Job Parameters

  • Full Time: 35+ hours per week
  • Non-exempt, paid hourly
  • In Office 4-5 days per week
  • On-Call alternate nights and weekends
