Job Summary:

We are a family practice and pediatric clinic seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant (Spanish/English) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be certified with at least 2 years of experience working in a clinical setting, particularly with both adult and pediatric patients. Familiarity with eClinicalWorks is required. This position involves assisting physicians with patient care, providing exceptional customer service, managing phone calls and the provider's schedule, assisting patients into exam rooms, preparing rooms for appointments, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care Assistance: Support physicians in delivering high-quality care to both adult and pediatric patients.
  • Exceptional Customer Service: Ensure patients and their families have a positive experience and address any concerns or questions.
  • Phone Call Management: Take incoming patient phone calls, schedule appointments, provide basic information, and direct calls as needed.
  • Schedule Management: Manage and coordinate the provider's schedule to optimize time and ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Assist Patients into Exam Rooms: Greet and guide patients into exam rooms, preparing them for their appointment with the provider.
  • Room Preparation: Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked with necessary supplies, and ready for each patient's visit.
  • Housekeeping Duties: Maintain cleanliness and organization both inside and outside of the office to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) required.
  • Fluent in Spanish (required for effective communication with a diverse patient base).
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting, with both adult and pediatric patients.
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks (EMR system).
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both patients and team members.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be able to manage multiple tasks, including phone call management, schedule coordination, assisting with room prep, and housekeeping responsibilities.
