Facility Security Officer (FSO) / Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)

Job Description

Position serves as Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) on several programs in our Monterey, CA and Goleta, CA locations. Responsible for implementing and maintaining applicable security policies and procedures for 32 CFR/NISPOM, Special Access, and SCI Program activities. Standard FSO/CPSO duties and responsibilities apply to this position, including, but not limited to, all aspects of processing clearances/accesses, submitting and receiving visit requests, document control and accountability (if applicable), physical security, program security, and security awareness (briefings, debriefings, etc.). Position will also function as part of the COMSEC account management team at the facilities. Knowledge and experience with standard office and position-specific tools is preferred: Microsoft Office suite of products, NISS, DISS, IC Customer systems, and personnel security databases. Some travel will be required for Goleta, CA office support, training, and project support responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum 10 years' experience in a NISPOM, SAP, or SCI environment.
  • Must have an in-scope (within 5 yrs) T5 (SSBI), T5R (SBPR), and/or currently in CE investigation and able to obtain a TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Knowledge of the following standards: NISPOM DoD M, 32 CFR Part 117, DoD Directive , DCID/ICD policies and regulations, and other guiding policy documents.
  • Working knowledge of the following databases and tools are highly preferred: DISS, NISS, and TALON
  • Possess excellent communication, speaking, writing, organizational and customer service skills. Be available for occasional after-hours assistance.
  • Travel and support to the Goleta facility will also be required as this position is responsible for the operation from a security perspective of both sites.
  • Individual acquired for this position must agree to undergo a government administered Polygraph.
  • Special Access Program (SAP) experience is preferred.

Background Check

Candidates who receive a conditional offer of employment will be subject to a background check.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $135,000
