The Opportunity
The Mid-Enterprise Account Executive, Healthcare serves as the frontline for selling SoundHound's conversational AI solutions to healthcare organizations. The role engages with providers, payers, and technology partners to identify opportunities where voice AI improves patient engagement, streamlines clinical workflows, and enhances operational efficiency. It requires a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, including its unique challenges, regulations, and technology landscape. The Account Executive manages the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery to presenting business cases and closing deals.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales to meet and exceed revenue targets within the healthcare sector.
  • Manage relationships with key healthcare accounts and stakeholders, acting as a primary contributor in high-impact deals.
  • Deliver presentations to healthcare executives, demonstrating value in patient engagement, virtual care, and operational efficiency.
  • Execute a land-and-expand strategy to grow SoundHound's footprint across health systems, providers, and digital health innovators.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to shape go-to-market strategies aligned to healthcare trends.
  • Build, qualify, and close deals within a rolling 12-month pipeline.
  • Identify and apply contract vehicles to penetrate specific clients.
  • Engage cross-functional resources (Engineering, Marketing, Finance, etc.) throughout the sales cycle.
  • Apply data and analytics to refine sales strategy and decision-making.
  • Partner with Customer Success to execute account growth strategies and increase customer lifetime value.
  • Align with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams on messaging, pricing, and business models.
  • Maintain awareness of healthcare industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
  • Represent SoundHound in trade associations and industry events.
  • Lead and support the RFP process.
  • Support contract negotiations.

Qualifications/Attributes

  • 5+ years of proven success in B2B SaaS sales in the healthcare industry.
  • Record of selling complex software solutions to healthcare executives.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare industry trends, including value-based care, health systems, and digital health innovation.
  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Consultative sales approach that translates customer pain points into actionable solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Contact Center tools and processes, including CCaaS platforms (Genesys, Five9, NICE, etc.).
  • Experience with autonomic, cognitive, and analytic solutions that impact healthcare operations (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, pipeline building, and presenting to C-level executives.
  • Ability to craft solutions aligned to client business priorities.
  • Experience managing 20+ opportunities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

This position is available for remote work across the United States. Employees within a 60-mile radius of a SoundHound AI office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled, company-wide "core days" per month to encourage in-person cross-team collaboration.

The estimated salary for this position is $200,000-$260,000 OTE plus equity. In addition to salary and equity, you will receive comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and other benefits. Our recruiting team will provide a specific salary range based on location and years of experience.
