Senior Network Implementation Engineer

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in telecommunications at carrier scale working with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers, and data services.
- Experience with network infrastructure, rack and stack, device commissioning, and quality acceptance control.
- Experience planning and leading network deployments and creating deployment packages and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
- Experience planning and coordinating with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors or vendors in a telecommunications working environment.

You will create detailed designs for physical deployments on the Edge, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), Deployment Package Kits (DPKs), and workflow execution/support.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:
- Support and participate with Design teams, Deployment teams, Negotiators, and Planners as needed to deliver connectivity to the Google network.
- Work with Core, Transport and Edge teams to translate common network solutions into standard BOMs and detailed design packages for select internal or third-parties to execute across multiple sites simultaneously, while providing technical support as necessary.
- Generate/update documentation and implementation plans (DPKs) while providing technical leadership and guidance during deployment activities, and updating and maintaining records as needed.
- Work with project management, network engineering and partner teams to identify problems in network installations.
- Execute and troubleshoot capacity workflows for edge network devices in new and existing network nodes across Google's global network.
