The Role

The Director of Commercial Operations will be responsible for building and leading the analytics, reporting, and operational infrastructure that empowers the Vizgen commercial team to achieve revenue growth across the entire portfolios. This role is highly data-driven and will serve as the connective tissue between sales, marketing, customer care, finance, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate is a strategic operator with deep experience in , NetSuite, and commercial analytics, able to translate complex data into actionable insights and processes that drive performance.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Systems Ownership:
  • Lead and optimize (CRM) and NetSuite (ERP/Finance) to ensure seamless data flow, accurate reporting, and strong alignment between sales, finance, and operations.
  • Evaluate and manage other commercial tools and systems as needed (BI, CPQ, contract management, etc.) to support scale and efficiency.
  • Commercial Analytics & Insights:
  • Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and KPIs across Salesforce, NetSuite, and other systems to provide visibility into funnel health, revenue performance, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Build automated processes and integrations that reduce manual work and improve data reliability.
  • Sales Enablement:
  • Equip the sales team with the data, playbooks, and tools required for effective territory planning, account mapping, and opportunity qualification.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to instill rigor in forecasting and funnel management.Cross-Functional
  • Alignment:
  • Work closely with Marketing, Customer Care, Finance, and Product teams to align on goals, share insights, and ensure the commercial team is supported with accurate market, customer, and financial intelligence
  • Process Excellence:
  • Standardize and continuously improve commercial processes across Vizgen to drive scalability, efficiency, and consistency in execution.
  • Strategic Projects:
  • Support executive leadership with data-driven insights to inform quarterly business reviews, board presentations, and strategic planning.
  • Incentive Compensation Planning:
  • Partner with various departments including Senior Leadership, Finance, Payroll, HR, Legal and IT to align and support the design, implementation and administration of sales incentive plans.
  • Lead the compensation component of the annual planning process including the development of quotas, territories and plan structure for each plan participant as well as deployment of the assignments within and distribution of incentive plan documents. Support the development and execution of SPIF programs.
  • Manage commission forecasting and collaborate with HR & Payroll to ensure payment processing. Oversee the annual sales compensation budgeting and accrual process, providing updates on a regular basis.
  • Budget:
  • Participate in Annual Operating Plan structure and execution.
  • Territory design:
  • Assist with Go-To-Market structure and strategy.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales operations, or revenue operations in life sciences, biotechnology, or a related industry.
  • Strong expertise in (CRM) and NetSuite (ERP/Finance); experience integrating these systems is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of building data-driven commercial processes that improve sales performance and accountability.
  • Experience with additional commercial tools (BI dashboards, CPQ, CLM, marketing automation, etc.) a strong plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and compelling narratives.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in business, data analytics, or life sciences a plus.
