Position Summary

We seek an experienced mechanical engineer with 10 years of hands-on experience in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence with specific emphasis applied to robotics. The engineer must also have solid skills in general mechanical engineering analysis including stress analysis and kinematics analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field required
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and applying engineering solutions using machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Ability to understand the objectives of a broad range of mechanical machinery development and conceive of applications where ML/AI could improve overall operational economics (reliability, functionality, life, versatility)
  • Ability to communicate ML/AI opportunities to engineering team members, in-house project leadership, and external client leadership
  • Ability to define scope, collaborate with engineering staff, and lead ML/AI applications within approved project scope
  • Strong foundation in traditional mechanical design support including stress analysis and kinematics analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with medical applications of ML/AI highly desirable

  • 100% in-person work required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110, $150,000.00 per year
