We are excited to announce an opening for the Insurance Billing Specialist at Hendricks Behavioral Hospital (HBH). As the Insurance Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for the timely billing of facility claims for behavioral health and chemical dependency for Inpatient and Outpatient levels of care to ensure the reimbursement of claims from various insurance companies.

• Run bill selection daily and process bills and upload daily
• Transmit all electronic claims to Payors daily, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payors.
• Researches and resolves any electronic claim delays within 24 hours of exception report.
• Correct rejections daily to ensure timely filings are completed
• Make sure secondary claims and rebills are completed timely.
• Understand payor requirements and special requirements
• Verification of appropriate revenue codes, CPT codes and modifiers
• Experience with UB04 claim forms
• Able to read and understand an EOB.

Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:

• Education & License: High School Degree, GED, or higher preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year billing experience in a hospital business office setting, preferably in psychiatric services. Knowledge of Medicare DDE and insurance billing, computer and business software programs preferred.
• Additional Skill Requirements: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a heavy focus on Excel.Must be detail oriented and possess basic mathematical and analytical skills to resolve financial issues.Exhibit a positive demeanor and strong verbal and written communication skills, maintaining a professional appearance and approach.Quickly learn the patient accounting MedHost software system, Hospital Clearinghouse, and effectively update Excel spreadsheets.

Compensation:
