Job Summary

We are seeking energetic and dependable Moving Laborers/Leads to join our dynamic team. In these roles, you will be at the forefront of helping clients transition smoothly by providing expert moving assistance, leading a team of movers, and ensuring efficient operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in moving, driving, Packing, Loading and team coordination within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Lead moving crews to efficiently load, unload, and organize client belongings with care and precision
  • Assist customers with packing, Protecting furniture, furniture disassembly, and reassembly
  • Operate various moving equipment including dollies, pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and hand trucks to facilitate smooth operations
  • Drive box trucks and other commercial vehicles with automatic transmission to transport items safely between locations (License Required)
  • Load and unload trucks safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent injury and damage
  • Maintain accurate inventory of items being moved and ensure all belongings are secured during transit
  • Coordinate route driving for deliveries and pickups, ensuring punctual arrivals at each destination
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, addressing questions or concerns professionally, and ensuring a positive experience for clients
  • Supervise junior team members, assign tasks, monitor safety protocols, and motivate the crew to meet daily goals (Leads Only)
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and vehicles before use; report any issues promptly
  • Follow all safety guidelines related to heavy lifting, moving procedures, vehicle operation, and warehouse protocols

Qualifications

  • Experience in moving services or warehouse environments preferred; strong background in heavy lifting required (Need to be able to lift 100lbs minimum with ease)
  • Valid driver's license; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is highly desirable but not required
  • Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities including route planning and route driving efficiency (Not required)
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, loading/unloading, and moving furniture or equipment repeatedly throughout the day
  • Experience with forklift operation or pallet jack use is a plus; certification is preferred but not required
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor, as well as a strong work ethic
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate a team and coordinate tasks effectively (Leads Only)
  • Knowledge of automatic transmission vehicle operation is beneficial
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully while maintaining safety standards
  • Flexibility to work in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing schedules
