Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team in a vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for mixology and exceptional customer service skills, ensuring that every guest has an unforgettable experience. You will be responsible for crafting cocktails, serving beverages, and providing top-notch service in a fast-paced setting, whether it be in a fine dining restaurant, nightclub, or at special events such as banquets and catering functions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders and making recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods, especially during banquets or catered events.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality service.
- Stay updated on beverage trends and techniques, including brewing methods for craft beers.
Experience
- Previous bartending experience in a restaurant or nightclub setting is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively.
- Basic math skills for managing tabs and processing payments accurately; retail math knowledge is beneficial.
- Experience with catering services or banquet operations is advantageous.
