Job Title: Part-Time Billing Specialist

Job Type: Part-time

Job Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Billing Specialist to join our team. This role will involve handling all aspects of the billing cycle for behavioral and medical providers across various specialties. Key responsibilities include submitting claims, addressing denials and rejections, correcting claim errors, making insurance calls, managing aging reports, and responding to provider inquiries. While prior experience is preferred, we are eager to train someone who is motivated to learn and grow in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit claims to insurance companies for payment.
  • Address and resolve claim denials.
  • Make insurance calls to verify coverage and resolve issues.
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Answer provider questions related to billing and claims.
  • Maintain accurate records of all claims and communications.
  • Work with various EHR and billing software to manage claims and patient info.
  • Use insurance portals to find information on claims and resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Previous billing experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop in the role.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
