For the Maintenance Associate, this means ensuring the entire store is clean, safe, and well-maintained, addressing issues promptly, and supporting a welcoming environment for both customers and employees through consistent upkeep and care.

Your Day-to-Day 

Provide friendly, helpful service and assist customers when needed, including loading heavy itemsKeep store floors and walkways clean and safe by sweeping, mopping, handling spills, and using wet floor signsMaintain clean and stocked bathrooms at all timesRemove carts from the parking lot and take out garbage as neededPerform general property upkeep, including shoveling, salting, sanding, and basic landscapingSweep and maintain the cleanliness of exterior walkwaysComplete additional cleaning or maintenance tasks IF assigned, including using a floor scrubber or making local customer deliveries

Working Conditions

Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 poundsPushing up to 6-7 carts at a time.Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and temperatures.Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladderRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shiftCommunicate with others to exchange informationMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spaces

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions – including skill sets, experience, training, certifications and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $ $22.50. At Adams, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.
