Overview:

The Financial Analyst Manager conducts in-depth financial and operational analyses to support improvements in business performance. Supports Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and operations leaders in determining the financial impacts of various business initiatives.

The Financial Analyst Manager applies well-established accounting and financial principles, theories, concepts, and practices to moderate and difficult problems. Develop comprehensive short- and long-term budgets and forecasts, as well as complex financial analyses for potential transactions, including building metrics, ROI calculations, Project evaluations, and project success metrics. Completes and distributes financial and other KPI reports of a complex nature. Individuals at this level are considered fully competent to perform work assignments independently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Determines the impact on business performance of various company initiatives.
  2. Provides timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
  3. Develop financial models to aid in investment decisions. Presents results to leadership across all areas of the business.
  4. Creates monthly KPI scorecards to identify opportunities and risks.
  5. Supports the Engineering team with ad-hoc analysis needs.
  6. Projects financial outcomes and plays a significant role in preparing the company's annual budget, margin, and expense projections.
  7. Develops and evaluates assumptions about expected business volumes under the current business plan and alternative strategies.
  8. Performs advanced financial analyses and develops standard and non-standard reports and statements of a complex nature.
  9. Develops financial models to support investment decisions across departments. Presents results to leadership across all areas of the business.
  10. Maintains investment portfolio information on income simulation models, predicts the effects of changes in operating programs, and identifies management informational needs.
  11. Assists in ensuring day-to-day accounting and financial operations are carried out by established accounting principles, policies, and objectives
  12. Other duties assigned by management.
  13. Be flexible to work across shifts and departments as needed to meet project demands and gather necessary input from stakeholders.
  14. Knowledge of Engineered standards is a plus.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or industrial engineering.
  2. Four to six years of financial planning and analysis and/or corporate accounting experience required, with a strong background in budgeting and forecasting.

  3. Superior analytical skills, combined with business judgment and the ability to communicate with a management team at all levels effectively

  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organized, detail-oriented, and thorough
  5. Comfort in working with assumptions and imperfect data
  6. Team player with a positive attitude
  7. Experience with AI principles and how they could apply to financial models and analytics
  8. Experience with Business Intelligence and Performance Management tools is preferred.
  9. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  10. Ability to adjust to a fast-paced work environment
  11. Able to work within given timelines
  12. Bilingual is a plus (English & Spanish)
  13. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  14. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  15. Willingness to be on-site and work closely with operations teams, sometimes across shifts
  16. Knowledge of establishing and applying labor standards through time studies, MOST, or similar methodologies
  17. Up to 20% of travel is required
