Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to individuals facing various challenges in their recovery journey. The Rehabilitation Specialist will work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, utilizing therapeutic techniques and interventions that promote mental and emotional well-being.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs, strengths, and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans tailored to each client's goals.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities such as art therapy to facilitate self-expression and healing.
- Provide counseling on gender issues, ensuring a supportive environment for all clients.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care.
- Educate clients and their families about psychopharmacology and its role in treatment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans.
Requirements
- A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred. Two or more years of experience working with individuals with severe mental illness is required.
- Experience in rehabilitation or mental health settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques such as art therapy and psychopharmacology.
- Strong understanding of gender issues, counseling, and sensitivity towards diverse populations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in rehabilitation.
