Thalhimer is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Deering Manor and Kingswood Cove in Richmond, VA. This full-time role offers a regular work week with on-call hours as needed. As a Service Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the quality of our apartment homes, ensuring residents enjoy a well-maintained living environment. What You'll Do:

As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance of our property. Your hands-on expertise will cover everything from completing apartment work orders and turnovers to performing repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances. You'll also be responsible for maintaining common areas, property buildings, and pool areas, contributing to the overall upkeep of the community.

Key responsibilities include:

Completing apartment work orders and turnovers promptlyPerforming repairs and preventative maintenance for HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and appliancesAssisting with the upkeep of common areas, property buildings, and pool maintenanceDemonstrating exceptional customer service in all interactions with residents and staffWorking with the team to ensure all maintenance tasks are handled efficiently and professionallyResponding to emergency maintenance requests as neededManaging daily checklists, occasional tasks, and troubleshooting unexpected issues

What We're Looking For:

At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential community or similar fieldCFC and HVAC certifications are requiredStrong background in plumbing, electrical systems, and general apartment maintenanceA valid driver's license and the ability to travel between properties if neededExceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skillsA positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for hands-on work
