Position Summary:
As an Architect at Zephyrus Engineering Limited, you will play a pivotal role in transforming design concepts into functional, innovative, and sustainable structures. Working closely with cross-disciplinary teams, youll drive architectural projects from initial client meetings through design, development, and execution. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of high-impact projects, collaborate with industry experts, and bring architectural visions to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Development: Lead the creative design process for projects, developing architectural concepts and detailed plans that align with client goals and our sustainability objectives.
- Client Engagement: Meet with clients to understand project requirements, communicate design proposals, and refine plans to exceed client expectations.
- Project Management: Oversee the entire architectural lifecycle, coordinating with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration across all project phases.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and review design documents, specifications, and construction drawings, ensuring compliance with local codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
- Sustainable Solutions: Apply sustainable and eco-friendly design principles to reduce environmental impact while enhancing building efficiency and functionality.
- Onsite Coordination: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, assess design implementation, and troubleshoot any architectural or structural issues in real-time.
- Innovation & Research: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technology, and propose new ideas for sustainable, cutting-edge designs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Licensed Architect (or in the process of obtaining licensure).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in architectural design, preferably in commercial or infrastructure projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other architectural design software.
- Strong understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes.
- Familiar with LEED certification standards and sustainable building practices.
- Knowledge of local building codes, zoning laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively convey design ideas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
